CHILDREN'S STATISTICS

Special statistics for Stories @ the Parks are available. These are used to support future grant requests. (I will insert the file where this data is kept)

Record attendance numbers on the large monthly calendar in the children's office. Enter info into the spreadsheet in p:\SHARED\STATISTICS. All attendance figures include children & adults. The Children's Dept sometimes breaks down the stats by child/adult, but this is for planning purposes, it doesn't need to be reported in the breakdown format. This information is for the Library Board and for Wyoming State Library annual reporting.

Stats are published in the board packet monthly. The monthly publication compares stats to previous months and same time previous year and shows increase/decrease. There is no reason to save departmental copies of what has been submitted.

Dial-a-Story is defunct as of late 2007.

Stories @ the Parks is a seasonal line item.

Storytimes

Includes Family Storytimes, Kids Book Club, BookBabies

Storytimes (number of storytimes held)

Storytime attendance (total attendees)

Stories @ the Parks have a separate line and are outreach. Track Summer School numbers separately as elementary outreach; otherwise they skew the averages.

Talks & tours (number of groups visiting)

Talks & tours attendance (total attendees)

Special Programs = Family Nights, Afternoon movies, SRP programs @ 2pm

Special Programs (number of events held)

Outreach = we visit outside the library.

Preschool / Elementary = going out for storytimes, PR for summer reading, any instance leaving the building. (number of outside events)

Community Outreach: parades, safety fair, outside big events geared towards more than children.
